There’s a part of the manifestation journey that doesn’t get spoken about enough — the in-between. The stage where you’ve set the intention, written it in your journal, maybe even pinned it to your vision board, but your everyday reality still feels so far from the life you’re calling in.

I call this the magic middle (not the messy middle), because while it feels uncomfortable, it’s actually one of the most powerful stages of manifestation. This is where doubt creeps in. You wonder if the Universe even heard you, or if you’re just wasting your time. But the truth is: this is where the work begins.

In this post, I’m sharing five ways to stay in alignment and keep manifesting when your current reality feels completely out of sync with your dream life.

1. Anchor Into Mini Manifestations

When your goal feels huge — whether that’s consistent £10k months, a dream relationship, or moving abroad — your nervous system can go into shutdown. It’s not that your dream is wrong, it’s that it feels unfamiliar.

That’s where mini manifestations come in. Think of them as energetic stepping stones. Instead of attaching every day to the big end goal, set smaller intentions that still move you closer to your vision but feel more believable.

Examples:

  • Calling in three new aligned clients this month.

  • Manifesting a conversation that brings clarity.

  • Attracting kind, flirty energy if you’re manifesting love.

Each small win reinforces the identity of your Future Self and builds evidence that manifestation works. The more your subconscious sees proof, the safer it feels to believe bigger.

2. Focus on the Energy, Not the Evidence

Manifestation doesn’t respond to how much you want something — it responds to the energy you’re operating from. If you keep affirming “It’s not here yet, why is it taking so long?” you’re reinforcing lack.

Instead, shift into the energy you want to feel now. One powerful way to do this is through short visualisations. Imagine it’s five minutes after your desire arrives — the email that says the job is yours, the message from your dream partner, the moment you step into your new home. What emotions wash over you? Joy? Relief? Excitement?

Sink into that energy in the present moment. Your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between a vividly imagined experience and a real one. This is how you bridge the gap.

3. Speak From Identity, Not Circumstance

It’s easy to talk about what isn’t working. But the more you repeat “nothing’s changing” or “I feel stuck,” the more you reinforce that identity.

Instead, practise gentle shifts in language that come from the version of you who already has what you want:

  • “I’m preparing to welcome my soulmate.”

  • “I’m building the foundation for my thriving business.”

  • “Each day I’m becoming healthier, wealthier, and more magnetic.”

This isn’t lying to yourself — it’s bridging the gap between where you are now and who you’re becoming.

4. Redefine What Counts As Evidence

So many people sabotage their manifestations by deciding it’s “not working” just because the big thing hasn’t arrived yet. But evidence often shows up in small, surprising ways — synchronicities, conversations, or signs that things are in motion.

Maybe you overhear someone mention a place you’ve been dreaming of visiting. A friend recommends a book that answers your exact question. Or someone compliments your energy out of the blue.

These are all signs. The Universe is weaving things together behind the scenes. Celebrate them, log them, share them — the more you acknowledge the small evidence, the more you trust the bigger picture is on its way.

5. Make Your Current Reality One You Don’t Want to Escape From

Your manifestation isn’t here to “save” you. The job, the money, the relationship — none of it can create lasting fulfilment if you’re treating your current life as something to run away from.

Instead, ask: how can I improve what’s already here? Could you declutter your space, create a nourishing routine, cook one good meal a day, or carve out five minutes of calm? These aren’t acts of settling — they’re acts of alignment.

When you build a life you actually enjoy living now, you naturally shift into a more magnetic state. From that place, it’s so much easier to take consistent action and welcome in the next chapter.

Final Thoughts: Be Delusional (In The Best Way)

Sometimes, you need to lean into a little safe delusion. I’ve done it myself — visualising my dream car when I was still driving a £300 Proton Compact with a turquoise scrap-yard wing mirror. I cleaned it and treated it as if it was the 4×4 I was manifesting. A year later, I had the money for the exact car I’d envisioned.

Right now, I’m manifesting £60k to buy my house. Do I have it yet? No. But am I acting as if it’s inevitable? Absolutely. I’m researching mortgages, planning renovations, and aligning my actions with Future Me.

That’s what manifesting in the magic middle is about. Not pretending your current reality doesn’t exist, but choosing to meet it with faith, energy, and identity shifts that bring the dream closer.
