7 Must-Read Manifestation Books To Curl Up With

manifestation books

There’s nothing better than curling up on the sofa with a hot chocolate, a blanket, candles burning and a good book to read. I used to spend hours getting lost in fiction novels (yes, I mean Goosebumps and The Babysitters Club), but as the years went on, I lost the love for reading and moved on to audio books.

I guess with anything in today’s society, we’re always trying to multitask, and audio books proved to be a great way to “read” whilst driving, cleaning or exercising. But as the world went still for a moment last year, that love for holding a physical book whilst wrapped up in bed came back and now there’s nothing I enjoy more than an early night with a new read.

Today I wanted to share some of my favourite manifestation books that I’ve enjoyed over the last year or so – especially as I’m asked almost on a daily basis for recommendations. So, let’s start with…

How The Secret Changed My Life

The reason I wanted to include How The Secret Changed My Life by Rhonda Byrne instead of The Secret is because there is a real power in reading tales of how the law of attraction has worked for other people. I must have read this book three times over and every time my vibrations increase at the possibilities of the universe. There’s something different in hearing about normal people’s experience with manifestation that really makes it hit home how life-changing it can be when practiced consciously. This book is incredibly easy to read – much easier than The Secret – and it shares tales of everything from health worries being cured to finding the perfect job, love and more. If I was to give this a rating, it would be a solid 8/10. Buy How The Secret Changed My Life here.

The Source

I recently recommended The Source on my podcast (listen here) and since then, friends and listeners have remarked on what a great book it is. I don’t just recommend any old rubbish people – this stuff can be mind-shifting! The Source, written by Dr Tara Swart, is a more science-based approach to manifestation, which is why I enjoyed it so much. Don’t get me wrong, I love a little magic from the universe as much as the next person, but I also find how the mind processes information to influence our behaviours and actions absolutely fascinating. The book is based on Swart’s four-step plan to awaken the power of the mind, challenging autopilot thinking, manifesting the things you want by redirecting your energy, harnessing the power of visualisation and dispelling fear and negative thinking. An amazing read if you’re searching for manifestation books with a scientific basis. Buy The Source here.

Abundance Now

Abundance Now was one of the first manifestation books I bought when I started on my spiritual journey (sorry for the cliché) and it’s remained a favourite ever since. Written by motivational speaker, author and life coach Lisa Nichols, we hear how Nichols completely changed her life by focusing on the four E’s – Enrichment, Enchantment, Engagement and Endowment. What I love about this book is that it features real actionable tips to do in your own life, as well as case studies of other people who have been able to welcome more abundance into their lives, despite challenging circumstances. Good Vibes, Good Life

There’s a reason Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King is a Sunday Times No.1 Best Seller and that’s because it’s bloody brilliant. Focused on self-love and how to change your perception of yourself, and ultimately your reality, this book is like the deep, lasting hug we’re all craving at some point in our lives. King draws on his own experiences to inspire you to practise self-care, challenge your beliefs and find your higher purpose. The beauty of this book is that although you could devour in a whole weekend like I did – genuinely, I couldn’t put it down – it’s also designed to be able to dip in and out of when you need that boost. One of my favourite snippets from a chapter reads; “Life doesn’t battle you because you’re weak, it battles you because you’re strong. It knows that if it gives you pain, you’ll realise your power.” Buy Good Vibes, Good Life here.

You Are A Bad Ass At Making Money

Now, in terms of manifestation books, You Are A Bad Ass At Making Money is up there in the regularly-recommended pile. Written by Jen Sincero, this is a no-bullshit approach to changing your mindset around manifesting financial abundance. I love Sincero’s straight to the point approach when it comes to the law of attraction and energy exchange – if you’re looking for a book filled with fluff, then this isn’t it. We hear how the author went from living in a converted garage to travelling the world in 5-star hotels in just a matter of years, once she worked through the limiting blocks in her subconscious mind to radically change her way of thinking. This is a solid 8.5/10 in the rankings. Buy You Are A Bad Ass At Making Money here.

Super Attractor

Let me tell you about my first experience of Super Attractor by Gabrielle Bernstein. At first I sank into each page, excited to turn and read more about how to become a master manifestor and create a life beyond your wildest dreams. My vibrations were high and I couldn’t wait for the next chapter. However, as the book moved on, it became more and more focused on religion and as someone who is spiritual, rather than religious, I really struggled to relate to the words on the page. You’re probably asking why I’m including it in this list of the best manifestation books, right? Because the first half of the book is so powerful it overtakes any feelings I have for the last couple of chapters. That’s how good it is! Buy Super Attractor here.

A Happy Pocket Full of Money

Despite the title, A Happy Pocket Full of Money isn’t focused just on attracting financial abundance. The reason I fell in love with this book is because it talks about abundance in the way of giving money away, charity work and building happy relationships. This is the boomerang effect I will often talk about – giving to the universe and being open to whatever she may send back. Author David Gikandi goes far deeper than many of the manifestation books I’ve read, writing about quantum physics and cause and effect in a way that makes it easy to digest – because, trust me, when we start talking about moving to a different reality, it doesn’t take long for me to feel overwhelmed.
