Are You Still Connected to Your New Year Vision Board? (5 Journal Prompts to Realign Your Goals)
We’re well past January now, and I have a question for you: are you still connected to your New Year vision board?
If you’re starting to feel disconnected, out of alignment, or simply uninspired by the images you pinned at the start of the year, you’re not alone. Mid-year wobble energy is real. Life changes, priorities shift, and sometimes the version of you who created that board isn’t the version of you who’s here now.
But here’s the good news: feeling disconnected doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It just means it’s time to check in, recalibrate, and maybe even create a new board that reflects your current season.
A Wish Delayed Isn’t a Wish Denied
I always remind people that most of my vision board goals don’t manifest in the same year. Some of them take 2–3 years to blossom. For example, my 2022 board had a Mercedes, consistent £12k months, a line of affirmation cards, my book hitting #1, and buying a house.
Most of those didn’t happen until 2024–2025 — and some are still in motion.
That’s the point of a vision board: it’s a long game. You’re planting seeds, and the Universe works behind the scenes even when you can’t see it.
5 Journal Prompts to Reconnect with Your Vision Board
If your vision board feels misaligned, here are 5 prompts to help you reflect and recalibrate:
1. Do the goals still feel aligned with who I am now?
You’ve evolved since January. Does your board reflect your current desires or just what looked good on Pinterest back then?
2. Where have I already made progress?
Look for evidence. Even small steps — setting up a website, booking a class, shifting your mindset — count as progress toward the bigger picture.
3. Where am I waiting for a result without taking action?
We can’t just pin it and pray. Where do you need to meet the Universe halfway? Maybe it’s pitching your work, booking a Pilates class, or saving £5 a week.
4. What do I want the rest of the year to feel like?
Instead of piling on goals, focus on feelings: freedom, connection, ease, or confidence. Let those feelings guide your next steps.
5. If I could only keep 3 goals on my board, what would they be?
Simplify. Prioritise. Let go of the noise and focus on what truly matters right now.
Why It’s OK to Shift Your Vision
Your goals are allowed to change. That doesn’t mean you’ve failed; it means you’re evolving.
Maybe your £30k month goal shifts to £15k consistent months while you stabilise. Maybe your “book selling 100,000 copies” gets pushed because the book isn’t out until 2026. That’s OK.
The Universe isn’t saying no. She’s saying, not yet.
Final Thoughts
Your vision board is a living, breathing tool — not a contract you’re tied to.
So if you’re feeling disconnected, take this as a sign to refresh, realign, or completely start over. Create a seasonal board. Swap out images. Break down big goals into mini manifestations. Do whatever you need to feel reconnected.
And remember: just because something hasn’t manifested yet doesn’t mean it isn’t happening behind the scenes. A wish delayed isn’t a wish denied.
